In a large skillet, combine honey, sugar, butter, water and salt. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted, about 2 minutes. Add walnut halves and stir to coat. Stirring constantly, continue cooking until mixture becomes medium brown in color (caramelizes), about 3 minutes. Turn off heat. With a slotted metal spatula, remove nuts from skillet and spread out on a baking sheet to cool. |
