Cod in a Soy Pan Sauce Submit Your Recipe
 
 
Ingredients:

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 tablespoon peanut oil

2 large mild red chili peppers, shredded

˝ cup low-sodium soy sauce

1/3 cup mirin

2 tablespoons Wholesome Sweeteners’ Organic Sucanat

4 ˝ pounds cod fillets
 
Directions :

In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat the oils.  Add the peppers and cook for 2 minutes, or until crisp.  Add the soy sauce, mirin, and Sucanat; simmer for 1 minute, or until the sauce has slightly thickened.  Add the fish to the pan and simmer in the sauce for 3 minutes each side, or until cooked.  Te serve, place piles of steamed rice on serving plates and top with the fish and pan sauce.  Serve with steamed greens or asparagus.
