Preheat the broiler. Butter a 12-inch (1 1/2-quart) oval gratin dish.
In a medium bowl, gently toss together the peaches and raspberries. Arrange the mixture in the bottom of the prepared gratin dish in an even layer. Sprinkle the sugar over the fruit, then dollop the mascarpone over the top, spreading it as much as possible with the back of a spoon.
In a medium bowl, combine the almonds and amaretti crumbs; toss to mix. Sprinkle the almond mixture evenly over the fruit and mascarpone.
Set under the broiler, about 4 inches from the heat source, and broil until the topping is golden, about 3-5 minutes. The fruit will be warmed, but not bubbling. Serve immediately.
